In the chapter "The Risk Factor" Bryson says that we shouldn't own guns because kids find them and play with them. When they play with them they sometimes shoot it off and end up shooting them self. Bryson says that two many kids die because there playing with there dads gun. The fact that kids die from gun accidents is said but in fact only one percent of kids death are from a gun. In the past 25 years gun deaths have gone down 50 percent. Also if we cant own guns people braking in our house will know that we don't have a gun and they might have a gun. People who want to get a gun will be able to get one just like how people get drugs today.
This is a great start at a strawman. You do a good job of explaining a common concern--that kids get injured by playing with guns. The argument that knocks down your strawman could be stronger if you kept with the same point--child safety. For example, lots of kids are PROTECTED by guns, too.
